Belcha – A Wonderful Girl Ready for a New Beginning
Belcha arrived at the pound in June 2026 and was estimated to be around 3 years old when she arrived.
This beautiful Belgian Shepherd was found, most likely after being abandoned, and brought to the pound for safety together with another male dog. He has since found his forever home, and now it is Belcha’s turn.
From her condition and overall appearance, it seems she may have been used for breeding and may have had a very hard life before arriving with us.
Despite everything she may have been through, Belcha has shown herself to be an absolutely wonderful dog. Her confidence has grown enormously, and the timid girl who first arrived at the pound has blossomed. She now enjoys spending time with people, happily accepts affection and cuddles, and has become a truly lovely companion.
Belcha is social with other dogs and gets along well with both males and females.
Like all of our dogs, Belcha spends more than 23½ hours a day living in a cage. She deserves so much more than this and is more than ready to begin the next chapter of her life.
Belcha is a fantastic, highly adoptable dog who is looking for a responsible and loving home where she will be cherished for the rest of her life and never be left behind again.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
