BESI – HER BALL IS HER PASSION

Very soon after arriving at the pound, Besi went into a foster home with a similar sized male dog. Since she has been there the family has increased and she now also lives with a young female pitbull. Besi loves her ball and cuddles. Nothing makes her happier. She also helps out as a therapy dog in a drugs rehabilitation centre where she gets lots of fuss and attention. She arrived at the pound with mammary tumours which have been removed. It was found to be a grade 1 malignant tumour and no treatment was needed but any future lumps would need to be removed immediately. She is a lovely girl who has thrived in her foster home and her foster dad doesn’t have a bad word to say about her.

Here she is in April 2021

Give him a home and he will be your best friend

Amigo arrived at the pound in March 2018 and was approximately 9 years old on arrival. He is a large male Labrador who was handed into the pound by his owner.

Height: approximately 65cm  Weight: approximately 35kg

Another loyal companion dumped at the pound during his twilight years. Who knows why. Maybe he got in the way, maybe they bought a younger version, maybe they got bored of him. What we do know is that poor Amigo does not deserve to be in the pound and is finding the whole situation very stressful and traumatic. He is a large, strong dog who will need to be placed with someone with experience. But he is a good boy and should be easy to train and really all he wants is to play, go for walks, eat, sleep and cuddle. Not too much to ask considering what he will give back in return.

Here he is in his own video May 2018
