Bribon

Bribon arrived in a horrible state, he was so skinny – only skin and bones. Although he seems to be so neglected by his previous owner he is a wonderful boy with a fantastic temperament. He loves everybody, people and other dogs, he lives with small and big dogs, young and old – and he does so well.

In October there was a huge Open day event at the pound and Bribon was chosen to go out and greet all the visitors and he did amazing. He just walked around calmly with his doggie friend Colombia and he loved all the fuss and attention from both adults and children. Such a good boy!!!

December 2022: Bribon went into foster because of the pound was flooding. The foster family tells us: Bribon is a very calm, obedient, loving and playful dog. He loves to be part of a family, to play with the child. With my neighbour’s dog, who was the same size, they have become very good friends, they have walked together, run together and played a lot. After one month in our family he has become stronger, he knows perfectly well the routine, he listens to words and he has adapted very well to the conditions of our house. When he is alone at home, he sleeps and waits for us to come back. He loves children – with my 5 year old he was running all day long, and if the little one stopped on a walk, Bribon stopped and didn’t want to go on without him. He loves tennis balls 🙂 He loves walks and enjoys every minute together with his family. He doesn’t bother, at home he lies next to me on his bed and that’s all he needs to be happy. Bribón is a perfect dog for a family with children and other dogs. What he needs is a family or a person, who gives him love, a bit of attention, and who takes good care of him. I hope he will soon find his new family, because he deserves it with all my heart.

Please note that Bribon is not able to live with cats or other small animals.  He also has a medical condition called Leishmaniasis – please ask the adoption team for more information.

Bribon is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment.
Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
