Carnaval

Carnaval is a stunning five-year-old Mastin with a heart as big as his size. Carnaval is an incredibly loving dog who absolutely adores people and cuddles. He’s a gentle giant who enjoys spending time with the volunteers and other dogs, he is sharing the patio with two other large males during the day without any issues.

Despite his good-natured personality and love for human companionship, Carnaval spends more than 23 hours a day in a cage. This is no life for such a wonderful dog. He deserves so much more — a home where he can be part of a family and receive the love he craves. Could you be the one to give Carnaval the life he truly deserves?

November 2024 Update: Carnaval in Foster Care
Carnaval has now been in foster care for 3 weeks after the pound flooded. His foster family has shared this lovely update about him:
Carnaval adapts wonderfully both indoors and outdoors. When left alone, he can be given a bone to keep him entertained, which helps prevent him from chewing on anything else.
He is well-balanced around other dogs, although his large size can sometimes intimidate them, and they might get scared or try to bite him.
With children, Carnaval is amazing—he allows them to do anything with him. In the van, he calmly lies down and is happy to go anywhere.
He is obedient, playful, and very charming, though he’s still learning to control his strength. All he wants is to be petted and pampered.
Carnaval also loves the beach, enjoys sleeping at the foot of the bed, and, if you’re not paying attention, he might sneak onto the sofa for a nap! 🤣

Carnaval is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
