Comet – a sweet and playful young boy waiting for his forever home.

Comet – a sweet and playful young boy waiting for his forever home…
Comet arrived at the pound together with his sister and is patiently waiting for adoption. He currently shares a tiny cage with his sister for more than 23 hours a day, day after day. This is no life for such young dogs—it is a waste of their precious time and potential. They are only let out briefly for a few minutes each day when their cage is being cleaned.

He is a lively and affectionate dog who enjoys playtime and interaction. Despite the many changes in his environment, Comet remains gentle and eager to connect with people.

Due to challenging weather conditions and the risk of flooding, Comet has been placed in foster homes, where he has been well cared for and loved. His foster families have shared valuable insights about his personality, which you can find below.

Comet is still looking for a permanent home where he can truly thrive and receive the love and stability he deserves. If you are ready to open your heart and home to a young, playful companion, Comet could be the perfect addition to your family.

FOSTER INFO: Comet and his sister went into foster care for a week when the pound was at risk of flooding. Their foster family shared:
“They are very affectionate. They are both very good; they don’t make noise at night, and they’re playful with each other and with us. Comet has learned to walk more calmly outside.
They both cry when they are apart, even if just one of them goes out for a walk.
Comet is super intelligent; he learned to sit very quickly. In general, they are both very good, but they need time to adjust to the outside world—cars, other dogs, etc. They got along really well with my mom’s dog (who was also very kind to them, despite them barging into her territory). However, they are scared of barking dogs, their own reflection in windows, and sometimes the noise of the TV.
Comet will try to steal food, but if you tell him no, he won’t do it again.”

Sadly, after a week in foster care, Comet and his sister had to return to the pound, confined once again to a cage. These sweet siblings need a loving home where they can continue to grow and learn together.

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
