Freddo – Looking for Foster or Adoption
Freddo is an 18 month old staffy x. He was adopted in the UK but sadly this adoption failed through no fault of his own and his original rescue closed.
Freddo had not had much training and socialisation during his time in a home and fortunately a rehabilitation centre in Dorset agreed to work with him.
The time has now come for him to leave the centre and he is now ready to go to a new family and Spanish Stray Dogs have offered to help find him find a new home.
Freddo is a loving boy, with a very wiggly bum, he’s good with children, cats and other dogs, a proper cheeky boy with a zest for life, the perfect addition to a family. He has flourished while at the rehabilitation centre and now just wants his second chance.
He will need to continue with some lead training. We are urgently looking for an adopter/foster who could offer this gorgeous young boy a home.
Applicants will be subject to a homecheck, full support and rescue back up through SSDUK will be provided and Freddo will be subject to our UK adoption fee of £320. Freddo has been neutered, fully vaccinated and tested negative for European diseases and Brucella.
For more information please email us at: Adoptions@spanishstraydogs.org.uk
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
