Gumy
Gumy is a gentle, sophisticated lady who loves human companionship. She arrived at the pound pregnant, with a chip, and has since watched her two puppies get adopted. A devoted mother, she now longs for a loving home of her own.
Gumy doesn’t enjoy being pestered by other dogs, so she would thrive best as an only pet or with calm, mature dogs.
Gumy is accustomed to walking on a lead and is desperate to escape the small cage where she spends 23 hours a day. She deserves to be free, happy, and surrounded by the love and care of a forever family.
If you can offer Gumy the loving home she deserves, she will reward you with unwavering loyalty and companionship.
July: Gumy is now in foster and they tell us: “Gumy is a very special dog. She is gentle and calm. Gumy has a funny habit when it comes to food—she’s not a big eater, despite being very interested in mealtimes.
Her favorite thing to do is play with a ball. She also has a sweet routine of curling up on the sofa at 9 PM to sleep. Gumy is perfectly house-trained and never has accidents indoors. We have never heard her bark. Gumy is great on walks, making her a joy to take out. With her loving and calm nature, she would be a wonderful addition to any family. If you want a well-behaved, affectionate dog, Gumy is the one for you.”
Gumy is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
