Gusy

Gusy is a young and sweet Mastiff with a heart as big as his size. This wonderful boy has a kind spirit that dramatically contrasts with his current life in the pound.
Sadly, Gusy spends more than 23 hours a day in a cage, a space too small for his large body and even bigger heart. Fortunately, he shares this space with other dogs, which provides him with some companionship in his confinement. Despite these challenging circumstances, Gusy maintains an incredibly sweet and sociable temperament.
Gusy’s affable nature shines in every interaction. He adores everyone he meets, be they human or canine. His ability to get along with dogs of all sizes is truly remarkable, harmoniously sharing his cage with both large and small dogs alike.
Gusy’s happiest moments are when volunteers have time to cuddle him. In those precious instances of attention and affection, you can see the true essence of this gentle giant. His eyes light up, his tail never stops wagging, and it’s as if his whole being transforms with the joy of receiving affection.

Gusy yearns for more of these moments of connection and love. He dreams of a home where he can receive pets and cuddles daily, where he can stretch his legs on long walks, and perhaps even have canine companions to play with. Gusy is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
