Hank – Being fostered in the UK

Hank’s mum arrived at the pound pregnant, she went into foster, where Hank was born and he was adopted as a young puppy, but the family can not have him anymore, so now we are looking for a new home for him.

Hank’s foster tells us: He was brilliant with our other dogs. We have tried him a few times with one of my cats (she’s very dog friendly) but Hank shouldn’t be homed with cats. Played happily non stop running about the garden, he got told of a couple of times by my dogs. He showed no aggressive behaviour what so ever, I don’t think he’s used to being socialised with other dogs. He was shy with us to begin with, even a little frightened at times if you tried to touch him too quickly but then relaxed and was absolutely fantastic! He’d do well to be rehomed with another dog for company and to play with.

Amigo is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment.
Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £520, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £520 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
