Indira

We know she has had a home in the past, but unfortunately, she was not well looked after. She was often found on the streets alone, got pregnant, and her puppies disappeared.
At the pound Indira is a lovely, calm dog who is great with people. She loves going out on walks and is excellent on the lead.
Indira lives alone in a little cage but enjoys spending her days on the patio with two other big male dogs.

In March 2024, Indira was in foster care for a few days due to the risk of flooding at the pound. Her foster family shared wonderful insights about her: “Indira was so sweet! She is fun, loves to play and cuddle (she loves to give kisses). We have different characters in our group of dogs, and she was good with everyone on walks (on the lead), even with the small chihuahuas. She also has some education. She knows that your food is not hers. She knows driving in a car (in our case in a camper) and she loves to observe what happens outside. She should lose some weight, but as she loves to go on long walks, it should go easy in her new home. At home she is a relaxed and calm dog, even with dogs and people walking along our camper, she did not bark and just watched a little excitedly at what was happening there… but one thing you should know if you sleep with her in the same room… she snores 😂”

Despite her friendly nature and calm demeanor, Indira is back at the pound, sad and alone, longing for a loving home. This gorgeous lady truly deserves to find her forever home soon. Could you be the one to give Indira the loving and permanent home she needs? She will surely bring endless joy and companionship to your life.

Indira is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
