JILL – LOOKING FOR HER SOULMATE
Jill was found with her mum and her brother, all three were very lucky to go into the same foster home. Jack, the brother has been adopted, but Jill and her lovely mum Snowy are still waiting for their forever homes. Snowy has since been returned to the pound, but Jill went into a different foster home in August. She was brought to the pound in February 2022.
This is what her foster family told us about Jill: Jill is a beautiful young girl and very loving. She loves cuddles on and off the sofa and always wakes you up with kisses each morning. She likes to sleep in a dog bed or in your bed, so she is suitable to both options 😍 She loves a toy to chew on and loves you to throw her a ball to chase. She will find something to chew on but if you give her a toy, she will chew that and nothing else.
She is great with children and women; men can sometimes scare her until she knows she is safe. She loves people coming to visit and gets excited and wants to play.
She is ok with cats but wants to play with them.
When she is on a lead, she will react to other dogs by barking and this can be stressful for both her and the handler. So, she will need some lead training to help her overcome her insecurities. She is also house trained and now knows how to sit on cue.
She barks in the home at the noise of people or other dogs, but it’s not excessive barking she is very good at guarding the house and no more.
She is a happy young girl, and she would love a home with a garden in a not too busy area and with an experienced family without very young children that has the time to mentally stimulate her and give her the training that she needs. She would be better as an only dog.
