Melody – SO SWEET!!!

Melody is an absolute sweetheart! She is such a softy, great with other dogs and loving with people.

January 2024, Melody is in foster due to the pound is flooded. The foster tells us: “Melody is in foster with us, but unfortunately only until the pound is back to normal.
She is such a softy ❤️ So sweet and loving with people and she is great with other dogs. Our dog is not social with most other dogs, but Melody has been absolutely great with him, so he has accepted her being around.
It looks like she hasn’t been used to live inside a house before, as everything seems new to her, but she is curious and likes to explore. She is calm in the apartment, likes to curl up on the couch and hasn’t barked once. She does get a bit scared when my dog is barking and if a voice is raised she will come crawling up to you – that just breaks your heart 💔
She isn’t housetrained, but we are working on that.
She is good on the lead and likes to sniff around in the grass and explore everything around her.
Melody sleeps in our bed under the duvet and she snores 😅, but it’s so nice to see her feeling safe and comfortable.
She really is a sweetheart!! And only about 16 months old and she has a great size.”

Melody is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
