Merida – A Sweet Girl Waiting for a Second Chance…

Merida is a stunning, one-year-old girl with a heart full of love. She has now been at the pound for a few weeks, and her sweet and affectionate nature continues to shine.

She has been integrated with other male dogs and is doing wonderfully. She enjoys spending time on the patio with her new friends. She has also been on walks with female dogs, showing the same calm and friendly behavior. She is a star on the lead . Merida truly is a gentle and loving soul.

She adores her moments of freedom, running through the grass, exploring with her nose, and soaking up any affection she receives from volunteers. If given a few cuddles and some treats, she will gladly repay the kindness with loyalty and love.

Merida deserves a chance to experience life beyond the perrera, where she can feel safe, cherished, and free to explore the world at her own pace. Could you be the one to give this beautiful girl the forever home she’s been waiting for?

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
