Milka
Milka, is a beautiful and gentle Mastin with eyes that tell a story of sadness. Despite her sorrowful gaze, she adores people and craves cuddles. The poor girl just yearns for someone who will shower her with all the love and attention she deserves. Currently, she shares a cage with another male dog, and she appears to be a bit selective with her canine companions at the moment. Nevertheless, Milka enjoys walks and behaves wonderfully on the lead. She’s unfazed by cars, people, or other dogs passing by. What Milka truly longs for is a loving home where she can find comfort and happiness. Will you be the one to offer her the loving home she so desperately needs?
November 2024: Milka is currently in a foster home after the pound flooded. In the foster home, Milka has been very well-behaved.
Milka is obedient, comes when called, and is submissive. She does not bark or howl at all. She sleeps through the night without causing any disturbance. Milka is affectionate, constantly wagging her tail when she sees her foster mum, and seeks out cuddles.
When left alone in the home, Milka sleeps. The foster is keeping Milka away from the household cats for now, just to be cautious, but believes Milka would not bother them.
On walks, she pulls on the leash a bit but overall is obedient. When other dogs and people approach her, she is perfectly calm and friendly.
The foster has ask people not to let their dogs get too close to Milka, as she is unsure of Milka’s reaction, but even when people ignore this request and get close with their own dogs, Milka remains very gentle and good-natured.
In the car, she calmly looked out the window.
Overall, Milka seems to be a very calm, friendly, and well-behaved dog who is grateful to be in a foster home and is settling in nicely.
Milka is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
