Paco
Poor Paco is returning to us through no fault of his own, but due to a significant change of circumstances for his family. He is fully supported by the charity and veterinary costs and incidental expenses are covered. He has lived in a home and we really don’t want him to have to go to kennels.
This is what his family says:
PACO, previously Patricio. Given DOB 16.3.14.
Temperament – very needy of human contact. Mr Hoppity; came in hopping on front left (I think!), I put it down to an old injury but can’t find evidence. Hops around adequately, doesn’t fall over, mooches around with the others. Won’t need regimented walks because of the hopping, I would imagine that would weaken it even more. When he’s not sleeping he’s up and following you around; not sure if that is down to nosiness or insecurity. Paco loves people and he’s happy to meet everyone. He hasn’t had any contact with cats or small animals.
We welcome any of our current adopters who feel they could take another dog and enquiries from any new potential fosters (subject to homechecks).
If you think you can help this gorgeous older boy, please contact adoptions@spanishstraydogs.org.uk .
Patricio is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you. For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
