Cutest girl…

Pelos is a a very charming little girl, she has the cutest face! She is great with people, loves cuddles – well any attention she can get. She has lived in a cage with other dogs, but it was too much for her, so now she has a tiny cage on her own. During the day she goes out on the patio with other dogs.

In December she was chosen to go to the big Christmas Fair event and she did so well. She enjoyed every minute, all the people, children cuddling her, she throw herself on the ground to receive belly rubs. She wasn’t bothered by the noise or anything, she just enjoyed it… And she wasn’t happy to go back to the pound in the cage, poor girl, we need to find her a loving home. The pound is horrible during the winter, she needs a warm and dry bed to curl up in and all the love she can get…

December 2022: Pelos went into foster two weeks ago due to the pound flooded.

Her foster family tells us: Pelos is a great dog and very well-behaved. You can leave her alone at home without any problem and she knows to do her business outside. She is calm, she likes playing with a ball and with children, and she is great in the car, she just sits or lies down quietly. She loves the beach and, if allowed, will go racing into the water. She wants to play with our neighbour’s cats, but they are too scared. We don’t know how she is with other dogs.

Pelos is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £520, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £520 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
