Pinzón – a stunning young German Shepherd looking for a real home…

Pinzón is a handsome young German Shepherd, about one year old when he was officially signed over to the pound in August 2025. He had been at the pound several times before, as his previous owner often lost him and he repeatedly ended up in a cage there. In the end, the owner decided to sign him over to us so we can finally find him a loving and caring family who will keep him safe.

Pinzón is truly amazing. On walks he is excellent on the lead – calm, attentive, and simply a pleasure to handle. He has also been integrated well with other dogs without any problems.

In December, Pinzón joined one of our public events, where he impressed everyone he met. He travelled calmly in the car, handled the busy environment with ease, and showed himself to be both friendly and adaptable. He interacted politely with children and other dogs, and although he became a little excited around smaller dogs, he displayed no negative behaviour.
The volunteers reported that he was highly trainable, responsive, and gradually relaxed enough to enjoy some affectionate cuddles. Pinzón truly stood out as a gentle, charming dog who drew positive attention wherever he went. He made a wonderful impression on everyone at the event.

This stunning young boy deserves a family who will cherish him and take good care of him.

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
