Pocahontas – A Beautiful, Playful Girl…
Pocahontas is a stunning, large young dog, around 1.5 years old. She has been at the pound for some time now, and her sweet and playful personality has truly come through.
She enjoys going for walks and does very well on the lead. She does not seem bothered by other dogs, people, or passing cars. Very large vehicles, like tractors, can make her a tiny bit nervous, but overall she handles the world around her calmly and with curiosity.
Pocahontas can be a tiny bit timid when meeting someone for the first time, but she quickly warms up and shows her affectionate, gentle side. She has been successfully integrated with male dogs at the pound and gets along well with them. She is social, playful, and enjoys interaction.
Even with her positive spirit, Pocahontas is still living in a small cage at the pound — and that’s no life for a young, energetic dog who longs for space, freedom, and human companionship.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, Pocahontas might be the perfect match. She’s ready to leave the pound behind and find a forever home where she can truly thrive.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
