SOCRATES – THE HERO!

Socrates arrived at the pound in the most awful, broken state. He belonged to a neighbour of the pound who no longer wanted him and arriving at the pound has been the best thing that could have happened to him. He was very underweight when he arrived and petrified of people – who knows what happened to this boy before. Step by step he has been getting used to people and once he knows and trusts you he is friendly and affectionate. He goes on regular walks with the volunteers. When Bobo, one of Socrates’ friends, was seriously injured at the pound he went to his rescue and donated his blood. It needed to be a healthy, calm, heavy and strong dog and Socrates was perfect, showing what a wonderful boy he is outside the pound. This beautiful soul will flourish with a patient, loving family.

Socrates is available for adoption in Germany, UK, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Spain and many other countries. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment.
Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females. Adoption costs to the UK £350, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.
