Tim is looking for a quiet life…

FOSTER OR ADOPTER PLEASE

Our Gorgeous podenco x Tim is looking for a new home/foster through no fault of his own.

His present home is with a family, but a very busy, chaotic lifestyle which stresses him,. He really needs a quiet lifestyle, without younger children in the house.

Tim has been in his home for 2 years and his family have worked really hard with him and love him very much, but feel he would be better in a quieter home. He does react to dogs, more because he is scared when they approach him off the lead or get to close to his space, but treats work well, and he soon re focuses,. He walks with a sight hound group and with friends’ dogs without any problems and would probably be happy to have a sibling with careful introductions.

He gets excited around cats when out walking, but with treats will calm down. Tim is good in general on the lead, knows commands, sit, stay, wait, come, he’ll roll over and play dead,. He loves to play – he will return a ball and toys in the house. He likes teddies but doesn’t chew anything else,. He is house trained, loves his walks but also enjoys just lazing about. He’s happy being left at home,.

He really is a good dog – he’s really quirky and goofy, just loves to play, have attention, loves his head and belly being scratched. He can bark and grumble with outside noise, but not for long.

Tim is available to adopt in the U.K. Homecheck and adoption fee of £320 will apply.

Tim is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
