OTELO – SURPLUS TO REQUIREMENTS

Poor Otelo, at 12 year old he’s been dumped in a cold concrete pound by his owner. Probably used to hunt and loyal to his owner all his life, he now finds himself shut in a cage. Well, now it’s time for him to find a loving family that will give him warmth and comfort during his retirement years. He is a sweet boy that enjoys human company.

In the beginning of December 2022 Otelo went into a foster home due to the pound flooded. The foster tells us this in January:  He is a good dog, we have another dog,  two cats and children and Otelo is good with every one. He is housetrained and he loves going out on walks, but he is also a sleepyhead 😉 The only thing we avoid is letting him go up to unknown dogs, as he does not always like them. But other then that, he is a great dog.

Otelo is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £520, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £520 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
