CLAUDIA – LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL HOME

We don’t know how Claudia spent the first couple of months of her life but they must have been pretty grim. She is a very shy girl who is scared of humans and was found wandering the streets at only 3 months old. She arrived at the pound on the same day as another puppy and they became the best of friends and he helped her build her confidence. She does approach people for a sniff but isn’t quite brave enough to accept a stroke and a cuddle yet but we know with time she will get there. She would be best suited to a home experienced with shy dogs and also a home where she has other dog friends to show her the ropes. She will need to be introduced to everything slowly and with patience as she is not used to the outside world.

Amigo arrived at the pound in March 2018 and was approximately 9 years old on arrival. He is a large male Labrador who was handed into the pound by his owner.

Height: approximately 65cm  Weight: approximately 35kg

Another loyal companion dumped at the pound during his twilight years. Who knows why. Maybe he got in the way, maybe they bought a younger version, maybe they got bored of him. What we do know is that poor Amigo does not deserve to be in the pound and is finding the whole situation very stressful and traumatic. He is a large, strong dog who will need to be placed with someone with experience. But he is a good boy and should be easy to train and really all he wants is to play, go for walks, eat, sleep and cuddle. Not too much to ask considering what he will give back in return.
