Lego
Lego, is a young Mastin with a heart of gold. Lego gets along wonderfully with other dogs, people, and children, making him a real softy and a perfect companion for any family.
Despite his gentle nature, Lego faces a tough challenge at the pound, where many big dogs like him struggle to find homes. This sweet boy deserves a loving family where he can thrive and share his affectionate personality.
If you’re looking for a loyal, friendly, and loving companion, Lego might be the perfect match for you. Let’s give this amazing dog the forever home he deserves.
November 2024: Update on Lego in Foster Care
Lego has been in foster care for a few weeks now after the pound flooded, and his foster family has shared some fantastic updates about how well he’s doing!
“Lego is fitting in extremely well, and Barney, our Golden Retriever, is showing him the ropes.
We haven’t left him alone yet, but he’s been fine when left with our dog. He’s not quite house-trained yet, but we’re working on that. We’ve been calling him Benjie, and he now responds to the ‘Benjie, come’ command with great recall.
He’s been off-lead during walks in the campo, and we’ve kept a tracker on him. He doesn’t go too far and is good with other animals, bikes, and people. He’s also great with our kids—no issues at all. He jumps into the car on command and travels well during journeys.
As for cats and rabbits, we’re not entirely sure yet. He seems very interested in our rabbit in what feels more like a ‘food way,’ but we’re working on that one! 😂”
Lego is adapting beautifully to family life and learning new things every day. He’s a playful, curious boy who thrives in a home environment.
We’re so happy to see Lego (or Benjie!) enjoying his time in foster care. Hopefully, his forever family will find him soon!
Lego is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
