Mulan
Mulan is a beautiful Malinois who has adapted easily to life at the pound. She gets along well with both male and female dogs and is sweet, affectionate, and gentle with people.
Mulan is highly attentive and would respond well to positive training methods. She’s very clever and knows cues like sit, down, and give her paw. She walks nicely on a leash and pays close attention to her walker, unfazed by passing cars, horses, or other dogs.
Mulan needs a loving home with someone who can provide the physical and mental stimulation she thrives on. If you’re looking for a loyal and intelligent companion, Mulan could be the perfect match for you. Please consider opening your heart and home to this wonderful girl. She deserves a forever family who will cherish and care for her.
November 2024: Update on Mulan in foster
Mulan recently spent a five days in foster care when the pound was flooded, and we’ve learned so much about her wonderful personality during that time. This stunningly beautiful dog was initially very nervous, but she quickly adapted and started to follow her foster family’s lead.
Her foster family told us that Mulan walks well on a leash and is incredibly affectionate and loving. She thrives on attention and enjoys being mentally challenged, which is something she truly needs to keep her happy and balanced.
She will need a family who can give her both love and structure—someone who will set clear boundaries, and help her channel her energy in positive ways.
Mulan is now back in the pound, and it breaks our hearts. We hope her forever family comes soon—someone who will give her the second chance she so desperately deserves.
Stay strong, sweet Mulan. We’re rooting for you!
Mulan is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
