Kenzo

Kenzo arrived at the pound in February 2024 and was about 7-8 months old on arrival. He was a bit timid with people, but great with the other dogs.

17.7.24 Update on Kenzo:
Kenzo, who found what we hoped would be his forever home in April, has sadly been returned to the pound without notice after just three months. Now about a year old, this young dog has already faced abandonment twice in his short life.
Kenzo needs a truly committed family this time – one who understands that adoption is a lifelong commitment. He deserves a patient, loving home where he can finally put down roots and feel secure.
This resilient boy has so much love to give. With the right family, Kenzo could blossom into an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. His past experiences might mean he needs a little extra patience and understanding, but the reward of his trust and devotion will be immeasurable.

Kenzo is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
