Soyer
Soyer is a stunning 1 1/2-year-old boy who is as sweet and loving as can be. He’s a big teddy bear who absolutely loves people. Soyer is great with other dogs – he’s very playful and shares his cage with them without any problems. He has been at the pound before, and was picked up, but this time, we need to find him a permanent, loving home.
Please consider adopting this gorgeous boy and giving him the forever home he deserves.
Soyer was lucky to go into foster a few weeks after arrival in January 2025!
UPDATE MARCH:
Soyer – A Bundle of Joy and Love!
Since moving into foster care in January 2025, Soyer has continued to blossom into a wonderful companion. His foster family affectionately calls him “Roy,” and he responds beautifully to it, coming running with his whole heart when called—even from the other side of the house! He is full of happiness and love for life.
Soyer is a young, playful, and gentle soul who enjoys life’s simple pleasures: a good walk, a cozy nap, and of course—food! He is incredibly food-motivated (he’d probably sell his soul for a tasty treat!), which makes learning new things easy and fun. He already knows cues like “sit,” “down,” and “out” (a gentle way to ask him to give space or leave a room). His recall is excellent, making off-leash adventures safe and enjoyable.
Walking with Soyer is a joy. He doesn’t pull on the leash and listens attentively to cues like “stop,” “slow,” and “wait.” He has also been taught not to rush through doors, making outings smooth and stress-free.
At home, Soyer is calm, respectful, and well-mannered. He is fully house-trained and car-trained, sleeping through the night without issue. If he needs to go out earlier than usual, he will let you know. He’s a quiet dog who only barks when he spots birds (or the occasional toy car zipping by!). While he doesn’t react to cats outdoors, he does have a prey drive, so a home with cats would require a slow and careful introduction (he has not been tested with cats inside a home).
Soyer gets along well with other dogs, though he can sometimes forget his size when excited to play. He’s also fantastic with children—gentle, patient, and incredibly tolerant—making him a perfect family dog.
When left alone, Soyer is relaxed and well-behaved. He enjoys lounging on the terrace and never destroys anything, though he does love to chew and play. Providing him with a few toys will keep him happily occupied.
Soyer is truly special—sweet, affectionate, playful, and easygoing. His foster family describes him as one of the easiest, most lovable dogs they’ve ever met. Now, all he needs is a forever home where he can share his boundless love and joy!
Soyer is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
