Chocolatina – A Sweet and Loving Companion

Chocolatina went into foster care shortly after arriving at the pound, so we didn’t get the chance to know her very well. During the few days she spent with us, she was quite timid—understandable, given the overwhelming experience of suddenly finding herself in a tiny cage, surrounded by unfamiliar people and barking dogs.

Now, after three weeks in her foster home, we have a much better picture of her personality. Her foster family tells us that Chocolatina is incredibly smart and well-behaved, though she struggles with being left alone. She interacts wonderfully with people, and although she was initially fearful, she has adapted beautifully. She is great with children and enjoys human company.

She is still a bit timid outside, preferring to do her business in the home’s patio rather than on the street, but she is gradually gaining confidence. Aside from that, she is social, affectionate, and always by her foster family’s side. Chocolatina has also proven to be an excellent travel companion—calm, quiet, and well-behaved in the car.

This sweet girl is looking for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and continue to blossom. Could you be the one to give her that chance?

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
