Barto – A Stunning Young Malinois Still Waiting for His Chance..
Barto arrived at the pound in June together with a female dog, and we believe they were siblings. Sadly for Barto, she was adopted quickly… and Barto is still waiting behind bars, watching life go by. He was only about 6.5 months old when he arrived — just a pup with his whole life ahead of him.
Now, Barto is growing up in a cage, full of energy with nowhere to go. He’s a typical young Malinois: active, intelligent, and incredibly playful. He needs more than just a walk — he needs a purpose. Mental and physical stimulation are essential for him to thrive and to grow into the balanced, loyal companion he’s meant to be.
Barto is truly stunning, both in looks and personality. But he’s not for everyone — he’s looking for a home with experience in similar breeds, someone who understands his needs and is ready to invest time, patience, and love.
He has so much potential — don’t let him grow up behind bars.
Give Barto the chance he’s been waiting for.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
