Rex – a stunning German Shepherd ready for a new beginning
Rex is a truly handsome German Shepherd who arrived at the pound in March at around four and a half years old. From the first moment, his calm, intelligent eyes and noble presence captured everyone’s attention.
When Rex arrived, he had a microchip, but sadly we were unable to locate his owner. It has taken many months of waiting for the official release from town hall, and now, at last after 6 months of waiting, Rex is finally ready to look for a new home of his own.
He has spent time out on the patio with a female dog and behaved beautifully — calm, gentle, and respectful. Rex has a wonderful temperament and shows all the qualities of a well-balanced, friendly dog.
Rex is a loyal, confident, and affectionate companion who deserves the love and stability of a caring family. He’s ready to leave his days at the pound behind and start a new life filled with companionship, walks, and kindness.
Whoever opens their heart to Rex will be rewarded with a devoted friend — a wonderful dog who only asks for a chance to belong again.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
