Coby
Coby is a gentle, five-year-old dog whose life changed suddenly when her owner passed away. She lived harmoniously with another dog, who has since been adopted. Unfortunately, the new home also had cats, and as Coby does not get along with cats, she found herself without a place to go and was brought to the pound.
In December, Coby joined one of our public events, and she was a true delight to have with us. She is very food-motivated but always gentle and polite when taking treats. Although she may seem a little eager at first, she is ultimately a soft, affectionate “fluffball” who is easy to handle.
She behaved wonderfully around people, children, and other dogs, and she clearly enjoyed all the attention she received. She loves rolling onto her back and entertaining everyone around her. When too many dogs crowded her personal space at once, she showed a brief moment of discomfort—nothing unusual and always within appropriate behaviour. Overall, Coby made a very positive impression and showed herself to be a cheerful, sociable companion.
She is now waiting for a new family who can offer her stability, understanding and a cat-free environment. Coby has known a loving home before and is ready to experience that again. She will make a loyal and affectionate companion for the right person or family.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
