Kima
Kima arrived at the pound in November 2024, around 8 months old at the time. During her stay at the pound, she showed herself to be a friendly, energetic, and playful young dog who loved being around people. She shared a cage with Firulais and got along well with him.
In December 2024, Kima moved into foster care together with one of our other dogs, Bones, both with the hope of adoption. We received lovely videos of them in December, showing how happy and well they were doing.
Sadly, as of mid-July 2025, their foster family informed us that, due to changes in their circumstances, they will not be able to adopt Kima and Bones after all. Through no fault of their own, both dogs are now once again looking for their forever homes.
Kima is a friendly dog full of character—independent, energetic, and very intelligent. She learns incredibly fast and, for the right person, will become one of the most loyal companions you could ever imagine.
She has a confident and sometimes a strong personality, so she would do best as an only dog or with a more submissive companion. Kima is well-behaved, walks nicely on the lead, and travels calmly in the car. She would thrive in a family with prior dog experience, as she sometimes likes to test boundaries—not in a bad way, but simply because she is such a lively and spirited soul.
Kima is back at the pound. She is now living in a cage on her own, and sadly, she is not coping very well. Understandably, she is very stressed, being locked up for more than 23 hours a day. We truly hope to find this beautiful girl a home very soon.
Update December 2025:
Kima, almost 2 years old, recently went on a little adventure to the local village with her friend Kenzo—and she amazed us! She was so calm and confident, as if she had been doing this all her life. She travelled quietly in the car and handled the traffic and new sights without any problems. Her tail wagged happily whenever someone passed by, and she wasn’t bothered by other dogs. She even happily stopped along the way for cuddles and a treat.
Considering she arrived at the Pound as only 8 months old, this was a big step, and she handled it wonderfully. Kima is affectionate, confident, and ready to explore the world with a loving family. She would thrive in a home where she can enjoy walks, play, and all the small joys of life. A truly starry little girl, she’s ready to find her forever home.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
