Fuego
Fuego is a gorgeous young spaniel of around 1½ years old, who arrived at the pound in March 2026 after being found wandering the streets.
Since his arrival, Fuego has settled in well and has shown himself to be a really lovely dog. He gets along very well with other dogs — both males and females, puppies as well as adults — and moves easily within the group.
He is currently sharing a cage with Gea, and the two of them are doing really well together. When they are let out of the cage for a few minutes each day, Fuego’s joy is impossible to miss. He loves to run, play, and make the most of his time with his furry friends.
Fuego is also very sweet with people. He has a friendly and gentle nature, and clearly enjoys human company and attention. Recently, he went on a walk with a woman and a young girl, and he was absolutely amazing with the girl — so sweet, gentle, and careful.
He is a young dog with so much to offer, and we hope he won’t have to spend long at the pound before finding a loving home where he can truly thrive.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
