***Urgently Needs a Long Term Foster in the UK***

We desperately need a long-term foster home for Chari, who is already here in the UK.

Chari is a beautiful, loving and affectionate 5–6-year-old Mastin who has lived happily in her UK home for the past four years. But this week, Chari’s whole world fell apart.

Her devoted human Mum passed away very suddenly. Chari adored her Mum – they were soulmates – and she is understandably distressed, confused and completely bewildered by everything that has happened.

Chari’s human Dad suffered a severe stroke a year ago and her Mum had been his devoted carer. Sadly, he is now unable to live alone or care for Chari. Their immediate family live and work overseas, leaving this poor girl with nowhere to go.

Thanks to one of our wonderful adopters, we were alerted immediately. Our fantastic transporter Ian collected Chari for us today and has safely taken her to kennels, where she will be loved and well cared for.

But kennels are not home, and we desperately want to find Chari a loving foster home as soon as possible.

Imagine being Chari… one day you have your beloved Mum, your home and your familiar life, and the next, everything has disappeared. She will be wondering what she has done wrong.

She hasn’t done anything wrong. She has simply lost the person she loved most in the world. We would be so incredibly grateful if someone could open their heart and home to Chari and give her the security, love and patience she needs while she begins to heal her broken heart.

Chari is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £595, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
