THROW A BALL FOR KEVIN AND HE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER!
Kevin arrived at the pound in a terrible state with bald patches and his ears in tatters, poor boy. Blood tests showed that he had high levels of leishmania for which he has been treated and now he looks fabulous and is much healthier.
After spending 3 years at the pound Kevin was becoming very distressed in his cage and started spinning due to the stress. A kind sponsor agreed to pay for private kennels for him. Although this environment is better for him, he is still alone in an individual cage 23 hours a day and continues to spin occasionally. Kevin’s eyes literally light up when anyone approaches his cage and gives him attention, even if it is a little stroke through the fence.
We are now desperate to find Kevin a family of his own as the years are passing him by and all he knows is concrete floors.
Kevin is looking for a family that will take him on long walks and throw the ball for him, his passion in life! Although Kevin does get on with both male and female dogs we believe he would be better as an only dog as he can be possessive of his belongings and wants to keep them all to himself, although he doesn’t mind the humans taking them! Kevin is the perfect gentlemen when he goes out for a walk. He appears not to be bothered by horses, people or cars. He is calm and relaxed, walks perfectly on the lead, and accepts treats with such gentleness. He is a loyal and affectionate boy who would be open to training. It breaks our heart to see this boy so keen to be with humans and having fun, stuck in a cage for amost 24 hours a day. Could you be his saviour?
