LONG – SO MUCH LOVE TO GIVE!

Long is a wonderful, friendly, energetic dog that should not be cooped up in a pen all day, which sadly is his life at the pound.
Long is a very loving and endearing charcoal grey boy whose happy personality radiates pure sunshine! Long is comical…..he’s a goofy, puppy like character with a very “Scooby Doo” quality and a long tongue to match!
A sponsor moved him from the pound to private kennels in July 2020, but sadly she is no longer able to walk him regularly. The reality is that Long spends most of every day in his cage alone. In fact Long has now spent 2 years in a cage. This isn’t a life for any dog, particularly an energetic dog like Long. He is understandably lonely and desperate for freedom…..desperate to belong to someone. He’s long overdue a normal life.
Long’s sponsor took him to training classes where he learned basic skills and loved to play with the other dogs. Long has worked out when to sit and will often do so without being told!
Long’s favourite thing to do…..sniffing! He’s a lively boy who, once he’s had a good walk checking out the latest sniffs, he’d love to cuddle up on the sofa as he’s super affectionate.
Long is looking for a family with a garden, who have plenty of time to stimulate him mentally and physically. He would be great as an only dog or homed with a friendly large female dog, but is best without small children simply due to his enthusiasm. Long needs a home used to strong & lively dogs.
