EDGAR – PLAY WITH ME!

Edgar’s favorite activity is playing with other dogs. Ideally, he’d thrive in a home with another playful dog companion, or with someone who can engage in play sessions and take him on long, stimulating walks.

In December 2022, Edgar went into foster for a couple of months with his best friend Ramses due to flooding at the pound. Their foster parents described Edgar as a big dog who greets everyone enthusiastically but settles down soon after. While he’s afraid of beaches and the sea, he enjoys walks in the countryside.

As of March 2023, Edgar and Ramses came back to the pound; they were sharing a cage until Ramses was adopted. Now Edgar has made new friends and is sharing a cage with several other dogs.

During his daily break from the cage, Edgar enjoys playtime with many other dogs in the patio. He’s still playful and sociable with both male and female dogs. He loves cuddles and knows how to sit and give his paw. The poor boy has spent half his life at the pound; it’s not fair. It is his turn for a nice and loving family, and also for an active family committed to providing daily exercise and mental stimulation. A fenced garden for playtime would be a big bonus for him.

Edgar is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
