CAFE

Cafe arrived with his best friend Anis. The both arrived castrated, their owner knew they were at the pound and decided to sign them over. They were both well looked after.

At first Cafe was wary of people, but now he can be a little bit shy at first when meeting new people, but he soon warms to you and enjoys strokes and cuddles. Anis has recently been adopted and Cafe has found new friends. He is sharing a cage with other dogs, males and females, without any problem. During the day Cafe goes out on the patio with lots of other dogs and he loves to play.

Café went to the town of Los Barrios in October 2023 with his new friend Otto. As he has shown himself to be a little timid, we weren’t sure how he would be going in the car and to a new environment. Well, he just amazed us with how cool and collected he was🤩 As soon as the car door was opened, he jumped up, sat down and patiently waited for us to get going. In town, he was a dream; he was perfect on the lead and happily walked everywhere we went. He was more than happy to sit and have a treat or a cuddle before carrying on again. He was also very proud to show us how good he is at giving his paw, a very polite and well-behaved young dog he is😍

Yet, sadly, the dream ended, and he had to go back to his reality: life in a cage in a chaotic pound😔This lovely boy should not be wasting his young life but have his own family that he can show just what a good boy he is.

He will need a caring and experienced home. We recommend a rural home without young children but with another friendly dog.

Cafe is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £520, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £520 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
