Conguito
Conguito arrived at the pound in July 2026 and was around 1 year old when he arrived. He is a gorgeous Belgian Shepherd who was found alone and is believed to have been abandoned before being taken to the pound.
Conguito loves going out for walks. Unfortunately, with so many dogs and not enough volunteers, opportunities to get out are limited, but when Conguito does get his chance, he makes the most of it. He walks very well on the lead and is wonderfully attentive to the volunteer walking him. He is happy to interact, engage and do some training, showing himself to be a young dog who is eager to learn.
Conguito is also comfortable walking alongside another female dog and doesn’t seem bothered by passing cars. He appears to be a very trainable young dog who enjoys working together with his handler and would likely thrive with people who enjoy training and spending time with their dog.
As a young Belgian Shepherd, Conguito will need plenty of both physical exercise and mental stimulation to thrive. He is looking for a loving, responsible home with people who understand the needs of working breeds and are prepared to give him the guidance, activity and companionship he deserves. Kind, reward-based training would be a wonderful way for Conguito to continue learning while building a strong bond with his new family.
Conguito is a lovely young dog with so much potential. We hope his future will be filled with walks, learning, adventures and, most importantly, a loving home where he will be cared for and cherished for life.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
