Curtis – A Gentle Boy Ready for a Loving Home
Curtis arrived at Los Barrios pound in January 2026, around three years old. He was handed in by his owner in very poor condition — extremely thin and full of parasites. Despite this rough start, Curtis has shown himself to be an exceptionally sweet and loving dog.
He has a calm, gentle nature and gets along beautifully with the other dogs at the pound. When he goes out onto the patio with up to 20 other dogs, there are never any problems — he is just so sociable, sweet, and easygoing.
Curtis adores people. He loves a soft cuddle, enjoys gentle affection, and on walks, he is simply perfect: calm, relaxed, and never pulling. He is the kind of dog who makes every moment with him a joy.
Sadly, like all the dogs at the pound, Curtis spends over 23 hours a day in a cold, damp cage — and this is no place for such a good boy. He deserves warmth, comfort, love, and a family who will cherish him forever.
Curtis is a truly special dog, and his new family will be incredibly lucky to welcome him into their home. 🐾
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
