Dulzura – Being Fostered in the UK

Dulzura is a 4 year old boxer cross. She has been living in the UK for 3 years, but sadly her adopters have recently had to make the heart-breaking decision to return her to our Charity.

This is what her adopters say about her:

Dulzura – Sweetness in name & nature. Calling DD Dulzura will always get a glance, tail wag, greeting and lick. Her greeting and affection are second to none, especially when you come home from a hard day’s work. She is a very special girl who is affectionate, loving and loyal. Her temperament is chilled and relaxed, whilst enjoying all her home comforts, particularly chilling out on the sofa. She loves her walks around the woods, exploring her domain. She is particularly playful and fun, whilst enjoying a good chase with other dogs. Her recall is good and she is gentle on the lead.

She has the patience of an angel and look at those markings – I’m sure you’ll spot the angel on her side. She loves her treats with Jumbo Bones surpassing anything else and will not share these with anyone. The same can be said about her toys and she is reluctant to share with anyone, often warning her compatriots off. Dinner can be interesting when she picks up her bowl and walks around the house to find the perfect spot to dine. Dulzura is very intelligent, will sit and respond when you say paw, by lifting one at a time in readiness for a treat. She is also very resourceful and will open doors in any home, within five minutes of arriving!

Dulzura will benefit from a home with male dogs only and where someone is home during the day. She loves activity and mental stimulation where she has to work things out. Dulzura really does deserve a settled place in someone’s heart and she will always be the angel on your shoulder.

Dulzura is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
