Karibu

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED URGENTLY FOR KARIBU – ALREADY IN THE UK 🙏

Sadly we have Karibu coming back to our Charity. We urgently need to find a foster or forever home as her adopter is leaving the country.

This is what her adopter says about her: Karibu is a beautiful, healthy and very lively young girl, who loves discovering the world around her. She has loads of energy and is so gentle and playful with all other dogs she comes into contact with. She has shown herself to be very reactive to cats, not aggressive but probably would suit not living with cats.

Karibu is very intelligent and learns quickly but gets easily distracted in the presence of other dogs as she just focuses all of her attention on them. I think that is just the playful puppy in her. She definitely gravitates towards men and is more obedient to a man’s commands. Karibu would lend herself superbly to agility training, she is so fast, strong and agile.

She enjoys chewing bones and her dog olive stick and this really occupies, satisfies and calms her. She loves raw carrots as a treat and her dry dog food, and has no problem changing from one brand to another, it doesn’t upset her stomach at all.

I am certain Karibu will mature and grow into an amazing and loyal companion in the right hands. I do so hope she captures someone’s heart and can have a beautiful life with them.

Do you have an Karibu sized hole in your life, she would be your best friend 🧡 For more information please email us at: Adoptions@spanishstraydogs.org.uk

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
