PIRI – A VERY SPECIAL CASE

Piri was found on the streets wearing a muzzle, and for good reason. When he arrived at the pound he was pretty crazy. He wanted to bite everyone and a dustban and broom had to be used to try and walk past him. He spent many months in the office causing havoc and giving teeth mark tattoos to anyone he didn’t like. After many months of love, care and dedication Piri was moved to the patio where the dogs are loose all morning and he has learnt to get along with other dogs and actually even love people.

Piri absolutely adores playing fetch with his ball. In fact he would do this all day. But not just any ball, it has to be the ball he chooses. Piri is a little dog who knows his own mind. He gets stressed easily and the pound isn’t the best environment for him and we don’t know how he would be in a home environment. We think he is now ready to be adopted but it has to be an experienced owner that will not have high expectations of him and will let him do things in his own time. Once Piri has decided he likes you then he is your best friend and begs to be picked up and cuddled. But everything has to be done very carefully, his way. Those of us who know Piri and have grown to truly love him are sure that he would make the most perfect little companion. He may be a challenge but the reward of seeing him happy in a home will be well worth it for his lucky adopter, as has his transformation in the pound been for the volunteers. He is a fabulous little dog who deserves a chance.

Here he is in his own video July 2018
