Love on wheels – A resilient and adorable puppy

Shia is the most delightful of pups. Her start in life was terrible. She was found in a ditch by a busy road unable to move at just two months old. The volunteers who found her took her to the best vets and specialists but soon the prognosis came back. Shia had a fracture at L4 due to a strong impact and will never be able to walk. We do not know if she was hit or run over by  a car.

One of her legs was sore and painful so the vet decided that it needed to be amputated and this has been done recently.  Yo would think that this would defeat this puppy. Nothing further than the truth.

A friend built her a wheelchair and she is getting used to this. She loves playing and is full of energy as any puppy would be and simply wants to make the most of life. She loves her balls, her toys, and most of all people to play with her. When the volunteers look at her with sad expressions she tells them not to worry. She is a strong and resilient pup.

Shia needs a home now. Whilst the volunteers are looking after her as best as they can, they lack the means to provide her with a bespoke specialist chair that will work with her body as well as the time to do some physiotherapy with her and ensure that her muscles are fully developed and strong. She needs a loving home like the many other abandoned dogs.

Luckily, Shia is not incontinent and can be toilet trained like any other normal puppy.

Will you be the person to help Shia and give her the home she so much deserves? A home that is able to look after her and understand that Shia’s disability will not stop her in life.

Here she is in her video showing how wonderful this dog can be
