Topo
What a sweet, cuddly young boy! Topo is such a sweetheart. He loves cuddles and gets along well with the other dogs he has met at the pound.
Sadly, Topo has now been living in a tiny cage for 1 1/2 years—a cage he only gets out of for 15–20 minutes a day. This is no life for such a loving, young dog. When Topo is chosen for one of his rare walks, he is practically doing somersaults out of sheer excitement to leave the pound, even if only for a short while.
Topo loves sniffing in the grass, taking breaks to enjoy cuddles, and eating treats. He doesn’t seem bothered by cars, people, or other dogs passing by. For him, just being outside and exploring the world is pure joy. His favorite moments are rolling in the tall grass and throwing himself on his back, hoping for a belly rub.
Despite his charm and affectionate nature, Topo remains stuck in a heartbreaking routine, with so little time outside his small cage. He desperately needs a family who will give him the love, attention, and freedom he so deeply deserves.
Topo is a truly special young boy, just waiting for someone to fall in love with him and finally give him the chance to live the happy life he dreams of. Could you be the one to rescue him?

Topo is making the most of an unexpected adventure! ☔🐾
Due to the heavy rain and risk of flooding at the pound, Topo and his friend had to leave their cage and take shelter at the public swimming pool. But Topo is loving the change—after all, it’s not always just the pound!
A handful of dedicated volunteers are taking great care of Topo and his friends at the pool, making sure they get out for walks twice a day. He loves strolling through town, playing with a ball, and exploring new places. And as you can see in the video, he’s having the best time! 🐶💛
Soon, he and his friend will have to return to their cage at the pound… but maybe Topo could find a forever home instead? He’s shown he walks beautifully in town—maybe he could be your new best friend?
Topo is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
