Agus

Agus is a striking and gentle Malinois of about two years, recently arrived at the perrera. Despite the abrupt change in his life, he has settled in surprisingly well and now shares a cage with a female Malinois, Sabina, with whom he gets along beautifully.

Agus truly shines in the presence of people. He is calm, affectionate, and clearly craves human connection. If you stop during a walk, he will gently throw himself into your arms for cuddles — and heartbreakingly, try to hold onto you, as if he’s asking not to be left behind. Like many dogs in the perrera, Agus spends over 23 hours a day confined to a small cage, with only a brief break in the patio and very limited one-on-one interaction. It’s a harsh reality for such a loving and people-focused dog.

He walks wonderfully on the lead and is not bothered by passing cars, people, other dogs, or even cats. His gentle nature and balanced temperament make him stand out, especially in such a stressful environment. Agus is the kind of dog who quietly waits for affection and responds with full-hearted gratitude when he gets it.

At the moment, we have many Malinois in our care, and we sincerely hope that Agus won’t have to wait long for his second chance. He deserves a home where he can be loved, understood, and truly belong.

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £570. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
