 Dali

Dali arrived at the pound in March 2026 after being found on the streets, possibly abandoned. He was estimated to be around one and a half years old on arrival, still a young dog with his whole life ahead of him.

From the beginning, he has been well integrated with the other dogs and has shown himself to be a friendly, playful, and sociable young boy.

He is currently sharing a cage with one male and one female dog, and they have formed a little trio that clearly enjoys each other’s company. You will often see them playing together, turning their cage into a space filled with play and connection — small moments of joy in an otherwise stressful environment.

In May 2026, Dali attended our big adoption event at the new land where we hope to build our future shelter, together with his friend Kuzco. He enjoyed the experience and took everything in his stride — the people, the music, the food stalls, and all the activity around him. He coped very well and showed what a balanced and adaptable young dog he is. Unfortunately, nobody fell in love with him during the event, so he had to return to the chaotic pound where he is still waiting for his chance.

Like many dogs, Dali finds life in the pound stressful and would much rather be in a home. He deserves a loving family where he can feel safe, relax, and simply enjoy being a young dog.

Update June 2026:
One day in June, Scobby, Donovan, Amón, Dalí and Avellana were chosen for a very special outing.
Thanks to the project “Visitas que dejan huella”, sponsored by APBA, they visited a residence in Los Barrios. It was a beautiful morning filled with calm moments, smiles and connection. The dogs brought comfort and joy to the residents, many of whom spend long hours alone. A simple presence, a cuddle, or a gentle interaction made a real difference.
And the most special part: the dogs enjoyed it just as much. They received affection, attention, and the feeling of being truly valued.
We are so proud of them — all of them did amazingly well — and we hope that Avellana, Donovan, Scobby, Amón and Dalí will very soon find the loving homes they deserve.

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
