Nuez
Nuez arrived at the pound in February 2026, at around 4 and a half years old. He is a beautiful Malinois who was found, presumably abandoned on the street, and brought to the pound.
Since his arrival, Nuez has shown himself to be an absolutely wonderful dog. He is extremely sweet and gentle with people, and he truly enjoys human contact. He loves cuddles and clearly seeks and values that close bond with people.
Unfortunately, Nuez spends around 23 and a half hours a day in a small cage, and he is not coping well with this situation. It is very hard for such an active and sensitive dog, and he truly deserves so much more in his daily life.
During his daily time out of the cage, when he goes to the patio, he sometimes shares it with two female dogs, with whom he has gotten along well.
Despite everything, he continues to show what a great dog he is. He loves going for walks and walks very nicely on the lead. He does not pull and appears unfazed by cars, people, or other dogs passing by.
He has even had calm moments during walks where he has shared space with a cat while eating, without showing any negative reaction, which reflects his balanced and stable nature.
Nuez is a true gentleman: affectionate, sweet, and very eager to connect with people. He will benefit greatly from daily mental and physical stimulation in order to feel happy and balanced.
In May 2026, Nuez attended our big adoption event, where he was an absolute superstar. Despite being placed right next to a very busy area with people, a market stall, food, music, and constant movement, he remained incredibly calm and steady in his pen.
He clearly enjoyed having his very own volunteer by his side for the day, and loved all the visitors coming in to give him cuddles, including children. He was simply amazing throughout the whole experience.
He also walked beautifully around the event area, taking everything in his stride. In the car, he was equally relaxed — he just lay down calmly and enjoyed the ride. A very, very good boy.
We truly hope to find Nuez a loving home where he can finally receive the care, attention, and stability he deserves, and where he will have the chance to truly flourish.
This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.
Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.
For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.
In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
