Eimon

Eimon arrived at the pound in May 2026 at around 3 years of age. When he arrived, he was in very poor condition—little more than skin and bones. It appeared that he had been struggling to fend for himself for quite some time.

Since arriving at the pound, Eimon has shown himself to be a wonderful dog. He is great with people, sociable with other dogs, and loves being close to his human companions. He is an affectionate young Malinois who enjoys attention and likes to be involved in whatever is going on around him. He has also proven to be an obedient dog who enjoys interacting with and working alongside people.

Eimon now shares a small cage with the beautiful female Malinois, Galleta, but spends over 23½ hours a day confined there. For a young dog like Eimon, this is far from the life he deserves.

Eimon loves going out for walks and is great on the lead. Recently, he enjoyed a walk alongside another large male dog, and there were no issues between them. Eimon was simply happy to be out, enjoying the walk and all the attention from the volunteers. He was very happy to stop for cuddles and treats, and on a particularly hot day, he even enjoyed cooling his paws in the river. He didn’t seem bothered by passing dogs or cars either, taking everything in his stride.

These walks give us a lovely glimpse of how happy Eimon is when he has the opportunity to be out of his cage, exploring the world and spending time with people.

Eimon would thrive in a responsible home where he can enjoy regular walks, exercise, mental stimulation and plenty of companionship. He has so much potential and so much love to give, and with a family who includes him in their daily life, he has every chance of becoming an incredible companion.

Eimon has already been through so much in his young life. He deserves the chance to leave the pound behind and discover what it means to be part of a loving family—going for walks, learning new things, enjoying simple adventures and, most importantly, having someone to call his own.

This gorgeous dog is available for adoption in the UK. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK are £595. This includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier ( using the TRACES system) direct to your door, except London, within the M25 motorway, Highlands of Scotland beyond Perth, and all off islands (if we cannot deliver direct, a mutually convenient meeting place will be arranged). We sort out all the arrangements and delivery/ meeting times will be advised in advance by the transporter.

For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go initially into foster care, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £595 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £350 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
