Ellie – UK Foster or Adopter please

*URGENT – FOSTER OR ADOPER PLEASE – ADOPTION FEE £320* *Please help, this really is urgent as poor Ellie has to be moved back to kennels*

Sadly beautiful girl Ellie (was Cremita) is coming back to us after being in foster in the U.K.

Poor Ellie arrived in the U.K. in October 2023 but sadly her home didn’t work out and she went into foster on 10th Nov 2023. Ellie’s fosters would have liked to adopt her but they have an adult severely disabled son and sadly having Ellie there has presented too many challenges and they are unable to offer her a forever home.

This is what Ellie’s foster has to say;

When Ellie arrived with us she was like a tornado / whirlwind, she didn’t realise she had 4 legs! Stealing everything / Over time, we have worked very hard with her and she now sits ( or lays ) whilst her food is being prepared. Then she sits and waits while we walk to the door and put her slow feeding bowl down on the mat, when we say ” go on then” Ellie knows that she can then go to her bowl and eat her dinner / breakfast.

When we are eating, Ellie now lays on the floor often with her head on our feet and doesn’t make any noise, she just lays there and lets us eat in peace… she’s done so well. Going out for a walk, Ellie was very excitable to start with but has come so far now. Her four paws now remain on the ground, although she does still get excited and can pull hard if she sees something of interest! Ellie’s likes… well, Ellie loves everything and everyone. . she loves to run in the garden and play…. I’ve walked her every day ( she loves her walks ) and she has never growled at an animal or a person. Ellie’s loves to play with us, balls, toys, a ball on the rope, squeaky toys in particular. Ellie is a very inquisitive girl, she wants to see everything, nothing at all worries Ellie, she shows no aggression at all with anything or anyone.

When she has had something in her mouth she isn’t meant to have, I can put my fingers in her mouth ( and I have had my fingers in her throat to get a whole packet of polos out ! ) she has never growled at me.

In the beginning we left Ellie just for a few minutes at a time but over time we have built this up. Most days she is left for an hour now. Recently Ellie has been left for a couple of hours here and there. Ellie does not like being shut in with doors closed.She loves to watch out the window, our bedroom windows are at the front and overlook the road.. When we go out, Ellie sits on the bed and watches us go and when we come back home she is stretched out on the bed, very calm, so relaxed she hardly bothers to get up lol. Neighbours have told me they do not hear her at all.. so this is her happy place…

At night Ellie has a bed in our bedroom and we leave the door open as she has a bed in the hallway and goes between the two. Ellie knows her name well and in the house has good recall… especially if she hears the biscuit tin being opened! but is easily distracted when out on walks! Ellie is a wonderful BIG friendly loving dog and has learnt so much in a short time. So many people stop me when I am out and want to know what breed she is and always say what a beautiful girl she is, though some have been taken back when Ellie goes up on 2 legs to lick them! The one thing we think Ellie really misses is a doggy friend, as she obviously had so many doggy friends in the dog pound in Spain.. she gets so excited to see a dog and loves it if the dog is allowed to play with her.
