Hope

Hope is a sweet and gentle girl, and she loves cuddles. She shares a cage with other dogs without any problem.

January 2024 – Hope is in foster due to the pound is flooded. The foster tells us: “The dog is very good although she is not educated. She is docile and seems like she will be an obedient dog when given behavioral guidelines. At home there cannot be food within her reach because she has a special ability and speed to steal food.
So far she has not broken anything out of boredom or play.
She does her business outside. She is very hard-working and playful as well as friendly with other dogs as long as there is no food involved.
She is very affectionate and playful and constantly requests petting and cuddles by jumping on people. When walking she pulls on the leash, she isn’t that strong, so it is easily controlled.
In general, she is a very good dog, very docile, affectionate and energetic, this last quality playing against her since she requires a lot of dedication, lots of play and long walks. In my opinion, she is an ideal dog to be part of a family with children.”

Hope was returned to the pound in February, but she was lucky to go into foster with one of the volunteers. They have many other dogs, cats, goats, sheeps and a horse and Hope is doing well.

Hope is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment. Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £570, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £570 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
